Many physicians need input from others in the medical profession to help
diagnose and treat their patients. Labs, testing facilities, hospitals and even
insurance companies rely on information provided by a physician to execute or
pay for medical services.
Dr. Wendy L. Smith is an Otolaryngologist and has
been a MediNotes client since 2003. “The program has made the pre-certification
process that is necessary for CT scans, MRIs and ultra sounds at our local
hospital significantly more efficient. I see the patient, complete the history
and physical and have my nurse order the necessary tests. All of the information
that the hospital and insurance company require for the pre-certification of
these tests is generated through the use of the software. My staff simply prints
off the demographic and history sections from the encounter note, and the
billing statement that includes the ICD-9 and CPT codes. All of this is
completed the same day the patient is seen and there are no delays or excuses
from the hospital or insurance companies that they do not have enough
information. This process alone has saved my practice a great deal of time,
hassle and money.”
Otolayrngolgists will find a wide selection of
graphics including ear canal, eardrum, epiglottis, oral cavity, tongue, sinuses,
upper airway and vocal chords. MediNotes e also contains numerous operative
